Anthropic previewed the Model Hardware Standard on 27 August — a shared spec for agents to safely operate physical equipment. On QuEra's quantum computer, laser recovery went from 150 seconds per attempt at 58% success to about six seconds at 96%, running overnight. A human takes five to ten minutes.
